How Parenting Coordination Works
Parenting coordination can be court-ordered or agreed upon by the parents. The coordinator observes the family’s situation, facilitates discussions, and—depending on the scope of their authority—may make binding recommendations on day-to-day parenting issues.
This process is not a substitute for when circumstances have substantially changed, but it can reduce conflict and keep smaller disputes from escalating.
