New Jersey Courts React Quickly to COVID-19

On Behalf of | May 4, 2020 | Family Law

The New Jersey Court system has reacted quickly to the Covid-19 crisis, issuing directives and Orders designed to keep the Courts open during these difficult times.

Most family law matters – divorces, custody cases, domestic violence hearings – are taking place remotely, with witnesses and exhibits being shared with the Court in a virtual format. As we handle more cases in this new manner, the process will become more refined and comfortable for all involved.

Our firm has already participated in numerous conference, motions, MESP’s and other proceedings via ZOOM, and are scheduled for our first Zoom trial next week.

We are also conducting mediations and consultations via Skype or phone conference, with great success. While different, we have no other options at this point.

Covid-19 has not stopped the wheels of justice-just changed the highway we travel on. We all hope for a return to normal soon.
